7/10
Not sure on ingredients but really good.
Uptown Margarita, Margarita ville good tequila, Cointreau Orange Liqueur with house Margarita blend topped with a Good an Gala float. Sweet & Sour mix is perfect, with just the right amount of tequila and orange Liqueur. 8/10. Margarita ville tequila is not that great. 1800 would have made it a 9 and Don Julio would have made it a 10.
Mexican Top Shelf Margarita:
Don Julio tequila, fresh lime juice, olive juice and Patron Citronage. Served plainly in a beer goblet with no slice of lime. Sweet and Sour mix is below par, and a little watery. 5/10, only because of Don Julio, otherwise it would have been lower.
Not to bad basic margarita, Hornitos Tequila, Grand Marnier, and sweet & sour mix. Too much sour in sweet and sour, and not enough tequila. Average 5/10
Hurricane Margarita, served in a Piña Colada glass, Suaza Blue Silver Tequila,Grand Marnier, lime juice and agave nectar. Tequila is pretty decent, not enough lime juice and orange liqueur. Maybe a little too much agave nectar. Overall below average 4/10
Trudy's House Margarita, Cuervo Gold tequila, not enough, and probably a sweet and sour mix. OK. Just above average, mostly because of cuervo. 6/10
Dulce Verde Margarita on the rocks. Dulce Verde, 100% agave, organic, tequila, made in Austin, with Citrongé, and fresh lime juice. Tequila is OK, not as great as they were making it it to be, overall, average tequila overpowers the orange liqueur. Average 5/10.
Blue Agave Rita. Suaza Blue tequila. Too sweet, with too much agave. No trace of triple sec, or any orange liqueur. Nowhere near enough tequila, or it is just not good tequila. 3/10, even though last time I was here it was a 6. Depends on the bartender.
Top Shelf Margarita, Don Julio Tequila, Gran Marnier Margarita. Sweet and Sour is too tangy and is way too much. It really does an injustice to the drink overall. 4/10.
Texican Top shelf house margarita with Patron. More like expensive Limeade. I can't even tell if there is tequila in it. Very watered down. Do they know what triple sec is? Put a cherry in it and it can pass for a Sonic Cherry Limeade. This is supposed to be Top Shelf? Maybe it is just a bad or new bartender. Anyway 1/10 Lowest rating ever.
Grand Vela Margarita, on the rocks. 1 part Grand Vela oz. tequila,(Thank You Sister!!!), 1&1/8 oz. Charro Triple Sec, 1 oz. Lime juice, and a shot of Grand Marnier Orange Liqueur, shake with a cup of ice and serve in classic margarita glass. 8/10
Proof positive, the right tequila makes the difference. Fresh Lime Juice, Agave nectar And Don Julio Silver tequila, solid 8/10.
House Margarita,
Lent is over baby.
Tres Pesos Tequila. A little watery, but tequila is good. 6/10. Better than the frozen one which was not as good as the last time.
House Margarita, with Tres Pesos tequila in it. A little bit on the sour side, but tequila is pretty good. Could use a little more orange liqueur. Overall slightly above average. 6/10
Grand Ma's Rockin' Rita. Served in a pint glass with 1800 Silver Tequila and extra Grand Marnier to smooth it out. Sweet & Sour seems to sour and the tequila does not come through that much. Plain Margarita, (as advertised) 5/10
Silver Star Margarita, seems to be house Rita with a shot of Patron Silver hand shaken in. Well, exactly as advertised, mediocre Margarita, with a shot of patron. Not bad but average. 5/10.
Suave Agave Margarita, Suaza Hornitos Reposado tequila, O3 orange liqueur, orange juice with sweet & sour in a specialty shaker. Served in a Martini glass, Tequila not that great, sweet $ sour seems to be Reddi Rabbit, (not that great of a brand), and it has too much orange taste in it. 2/10
BJ's Handcrafted Margarita, Milagro Silver Tequila, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, Sweet & Sour, orange and lime. Only difference feom top shelf is tequila. Not much better. In fact, too sweet on sweet and sour, and the tequila is not that great. 4/10
BJ's Top Shelf Margarita. This time with Jimador Tequila Cointreau Orange Liqueur, sweet & sour, fresh orange, fresh lime, Grand Marnier, on the rocks. Not bad. Much better than last time when it had Cazadores tequila. Can definitely taste the tequila, needs more orange liqueur though. Sweet and sour can use more sour. Overall 5/10. (Average) Extra point for extra tequila, otherwise its a 4.
