Taco Cabana

House Margarita Taco Cabana Round Rock I35.

I know, Taco Cabana, but it is a margarita, and it is in Round Rock.

Usually the margaritas are decent with a good amount of Tequila, but today it is very weak and too sour.

3 out of 10

Cost $4.50

Casa Garcia's

I know I said LaMargarita was next on my list, but I found myself at Casa and had to have a margarita.

This one is pretty simple, it is just a house margarita, with a shot of Sangria wine.

Sangria wine makes it sweeter but not too orangy sweet. 8 of 10.

Applebee's

Alrighy, another Perfect Margarita  claim. In this case, the Tequila is 1800 Reposado 100% Blue Agave Tequila, Cointreau and Grand Marnier, served with a side shaker tin for multiple pours, and an olive to finish it off. As of November 2013, it is $8.99.
Reposado Tequila is always a good Tequila base to start with. Pretty smooth, and not too sweet. Never had one with an olive in it, but it seems to give it a good finishing taste.
Overall I say a 7 out of 10, another shot of  grand marnier would have made it an 8, and fresh lime juice would have taken it another notch higher.
Anyway, next post will be from,"La Margarita", restaurant. With a name like that, I have high expectations. Till then, Happy Drinking.
